James Garoppolo, more commonly known as “Jimmy G”, is the quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League. A legendary college football career at Eastern Illinois saw him set school records for career passing yards and passing touchdowns.

Further, he even won the World Cup at one point as a senior. As a result, projections for Jimmy were high in the NFL draft. Eventually, he was selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft by the New England Patriots. However, his first four seasons were spent as Tom Brady's backup which included two Super Bowl victories during that time frame.

At the end of 2017, Jimmy made his way to the San Francisco 49ers. From there on, Jimmy G enjoyed a remarkable run to the top as he became one of the ten winningest quarterbacks of all time. The early signs were there, as in his inaugural season with San Francisco. He led the 1-10 team by winning its five remaining games. But his tenure Saw him miss a lot of time due to injuries.

In 2023, Garoppolo signed with the Raiders after Derek Carr was released.
