Justin Reid is an American professional safety for the Kansas City Chiefs as of the 2024 NFL season. He was drafted by the Houston Texans as the 68th pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. He spent four years with the Houston Texans before moving on to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022. He has helped the Chiefs win two Super Bowls. He posted a career-high in tackles with 95, a career-best 3.0 sacks, and one interception in 16 games played during the 2023 NFL season. Reid’s play in 2023 helped the Chiefs make it back to another Super Bowl appearance.

In his early years, Reid attended Dutchtown High School, in Geismar, Louisiana. Reid was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and he committed to playing college football for Stanford University as per his college roster page. Reid played for Stanford from 2015 to 2017 before deciding to forgo his senior year and enter the NFL draft in 2018. During his time with Stanford, Reid played safety for the team and had 179 total tackles where 105 were solo tackles and 74 were assisted as per Sports Reference. He also had 11 tackles for losses, 1.0 sacks, and six interceptions. In 2017 he was named to the first-team All-Pac 12 and he announced his decision to forgo his remaining eligibility to enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

Reid made his second Super Bowl appearance when the Chiefs faced the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024, securing another championship. However, in Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025, Reid and the Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles, with a final score of 40-22.
