Kyle Monangai is a 23-year-old collegiate footballer who has been playing for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights since 2020. The Rutgers star improved his draft stock at the 2025 NFL Combine by doing a 40-yard dash in 4.60 seconds, a broad jump of 9' 9'’ and a vertical jump of 34.5 inches. He won the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week twice, along with a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honour. In 2024, he scored a career-high record of 208 yards, followed by three touchdowns against Akron. Monangai became the first Scarlet Knight to win the First Team All-Big Ten in both media votes and coaches.

Monangai, being the team captain, led the team with 1,279 rushing yards and 256 carries. One of the notable accomplishments of Monangai in 2023 includes rushing for 1,262 yards, becoming the second Rutgers after Jawan Jamison in 2012 to rush for 1000 yards. During his sophomore year, he started 11 of 12 games by recording 445 yards with 109 carries and two touchdowns. Prior to playing for Rutgers, he helped the Ironmen to the final of the NJSIAA Non-Public Group 4 tournament.
