Kyren Williams is an American football running back for the Los Angeles Rams as of the 2024 NFL season. He was selected as the 164th pick in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. After his selection, he signed a four-year rookie contract with the Rams valued at $3.97 million. During the 2023 regular season, he recorded career-high stats, amassing 1,144 rushing yards, and 12 touchdowns, and tallied 32 receptions for 206 yards with an additional three receiving touchdowns in 12 games, including 11 starts. His exceptional performance throughout the season earned him his first Pro Bowl selection. Additionally, he also secured a spot on the 2023 Second-team All-Pro.

Born and raised in Missouri, while growing up, Williams attended the St. John Vianney High School. During high school years, he played high school football and, as a junior, recorded over 900 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns. Additionally, he secured 51 receptions for 774 yards and 12 touchdowns. In his senior season, he eclipsed the 2,000-yard milestone and secured 26 touchdowns with 55 receptions for 725 yards. His exceptional performance led him to secure the St. Louis Metro Area Offensive Player of the Year title. After graduation, he earned a three-star rating and received offers from numerous football programs, including Michigan, Michigan State, Stanford, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame.

Williams attended the University of Notre Dame, playing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as an early enrollee. He was with Notre Dame from 2019 to 2021, and in December 2021, he announced his entry into the 2022 NFL Draft. In the 2019 season, Williams’ play was limited to just four games as he opted to sit out the remainder of the year to preserve an additional year of eligibility, concluding his season with 26 yards and one reception for three yards.

During his tenure at Notre Dame, he excelled on the football field, securing numerous accolades and achievements. Particularly in the 2020 season, he performed exceptionally well, accumulating 1,125 yards on 211 carries, 13 touchdowns, and 35 receptions for 313 yards with a receiving touchdown. His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the Second-team All-ACC, the honors of the ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the ACC Rookie of the Year title.

In the 2021 season, once again, he surpassed the 1,000-yard milestone, recording 14 rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he secured 42 receptions for 359 yards and three touchdowns, earning him a spot on the second-team All-American.
