Mike Tomlin is a professional football coach who coaches the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League as of the 2024 season. He was born in Hampton, Virginia on March 15, 1972. Tomlin in his coaching career has guided many NFL teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has won Super Bowl XLIII as a head coach and Super Bowl XXXVII as an assistant coach. Additionally, he holds the NFL record for the most consecutive non-losing seasons to start a coaching career, with 17 seasons.
He attended Denbigh High School in Newport News, Virginia, before going on to The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he studied from 1990 to 1994. He began his coaching career as a wide receivers coach at VMI in 1995, then served as a graduate assistant at the University of Memphis in 1996. He coached the Arkansas State Red Wolves (1997-1998), Cincinnati Bearcats (1999–2000), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2001–2005).
