Is Justin Herbert playing tonight vs Denver Broncos in Week 6?

Los Angeles Chargers v New Orleans Saints
Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert has been the face of the Los Angeles Chargers franchise since he was drafted sixth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. The quarterback suffered a rib injury versus the Kansas City Chiefs back in Week 2 this season. Nonetheless, the Chargers star now looks to be a go versus another AFC West rival, the Denver Broncos, on Monday night.

The 24-year-old has faced the Broncos four times as a starter, throwing for 1,071 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions. He won two of the four games versus Denver as both wins came at SoFi Stadium. So far, the Chargers sit with a 3-2 record with Herbert under center this season.

He started the following week versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, throwing for 297 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in a 38-10 loss. Since that loss to Jacksonville, Herbert and the Chargers have won two straight games. The star signal-caller has thrown for 568 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in wins over the Houston Texans and the Cleveland Browns.

Entering the Chargers' matchup versus the Broncos, that rib injury looks non-existent.

The passing yards were the second-most all-time for a rookie in a season. The 31 touchdowns were the most thrown in NFL history by a quarterback in his first season.
