Anderson after having a fantastic run in his college career announced that he would not be participating in his senior year and instead declared himself for the upcoming draft of NFL 2016.

Robbie Andreson is a professional American footballer who plays as a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League. Anderson's professional career in the NFL started when he joined the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.

Anderson signed a deal of worth $1.63 million for three years with the New York Jets. In 2016 seasons in a match against the Cincinnati Bengals, he made his NFL debut. He recorded the first reception of his NFL career in a match against the Kansas City Chiefs in the following match he recorded two receptions for 34 receiving yards. Anderson continued his top-notch performance throughout the entire season and cemented himself as the game-changing factor in the New York Jets. In his first season, he was able to participate in 16 games and he finished the following season of 2016 with 42 receptions, 587 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Anderson kept improving his skills and he also showcased fantastic performances throughout his run with the New York Jets. In the year 2019, Anderson finished his last season with the New York Jets where in the following season he recorded 52 receptions for 779 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.

Anderson in 2020 signed a deal with the Carolina Panthers worth $20 million for two years. In the 2020 season in a game against the Las Vegas Raiders in his debut match with the Panthers, he recorded six catches for 115 receiving yards and a touchdown. Anderson continued his excellent performance throughout his two-year run with the Panthers and in 2022 he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals where in the entire season he played nine games and recorded seven receptions for 76 yards. In 2023 Anderson signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins for one year.
