Saquon Barkley is a professional American running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, as of the 2025 NFL season. In the 2024 season, Barkley broke the NFL record for most rushing yards in a single season (including regular and postseason). He won Super Bowl LIX in his debut campaign with the Eagles and was also honored with the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year. Barkey was drafted as the second overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. In six seasons with the Giants, Barkley posted 5,211 rushing yards while also getting into the endzone 47 total times (via Pro Football Reference). In the summer of 2024, Barkley signed a three-year, $37,750,000 contract with the Eagles, before getting a two-year extension in 2025, as per Spotrac.

Before joining the NFL, Barkley played collegiate football for the Penn State Nittany Lions. In three seasons with the program, Barkley recorded 3,843 rushing yards on 671 carries, 43 touchdowns, and 102 receptions for 1,195 receiving yards (via Sports Reference). He also attended Whitehall High School in Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania.
