Terrell Owens is an American football player who plays In the National Football League (NFL) as a wide receiver. His professional career started in the year 1996, when he was selected in the third round by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL draft of 1996.

Owens made his official NFL debut in a match against the New Orleans Saints. He recorded his first NFL touchdown in a game against the Cincinnati Bengal. Owens in a match against the Chicago Bears showcased a career altering performance where he recorded Chicago Bears 20 catches for 283 yards.

In 2004 the San Francisco 49ers decided to appoint a new coach Steve Mariucci. The performance of the overall team started to go down so Owens at that time requested his release from the team. The San Francisco 49ers offered him to trade but he declined stating he only wanted to become a free agent. He got what he wished he became a free agent. He then signed a deal of seven years worth $49 million with the Eagles and he wrote a book in which he wrote about himself.

Owens was released from the Eagles team after his relationship with the Eagles became tense due to contract issues and he then signed a deal of three years worth $25 million with the Dallas Cowboys on March 18, 2006. After a match against Washington Redskin he has become the first player in NFL history with a minimum of one touchdown catch and 6 receptions in seven direct games. He was released by the Cowboys on March 2009, and he signed a one year deal worth $6.5 million with the Buffalo Bills. After the season ended he signed with the Cincinnati Bengals and performed for 12 months. After playing with the Wranglers and Seahawks Owens did not play for five years, he came back as a captain for Team Owens in 2017. In May 2022, Owens traded to the Knights of Degen.

He played college football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Owens was also interested in basketball and ran track. Owens played in the 1995 NCAA basketball tournament. Owens also held the record of single-season receptions at Chattanooga and he also participated in the Senior Bowl to prepare for the NFL Draft.

Owens weighs around 102 kg and has a height of 6 feet 3 in. Owens is the father of two sons and two daughters, he was accused by three different mothers of his children of not paying child support. But Owens stated that he was paying some $45,000 every month in child support. He was raised as a Christian by his grandmother.
