Tristan Wirfs is a professional American football offensive tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as of the 2024 NFL season. In the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Wirfs was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 13th pick. He recorded 1,073 snaps in his first season of play, starting all 16 games, and he was also selected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Wirfs started all 17 games in 2021 and totaled 1,183 snaps, a career-high for him. The 2021 season saw his first Pro Bowl selection and was selected for his second Pro Bowl the next season. The Buccaneers exercised Wirfs' contract's fifth-year option in 2023. After signing a five-year contract extension with the Buccaneers in 2024, Wirfs became the highest-paid offensive tackle in NFL history.
Wirfs committed to play collegiate football at the University of Iowa. According to the University of Iowa's official website, Wirfs was chosen as an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in 2018 after receiving an honorable Mention Big Ten Conference All-Freshman team selection in 2017. Wirfs was selected to the First Team All-America and was named the Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2019 after starting all 13 games.
