Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea is a professional American football player who plays as a nose tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. Vea was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 12th pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Vea started eight games in his rookie season and ended the season with three sacks and 28 tackles. The following season, Vea recorded a total of 35 tackles and three sacks. Despite the injury Vea suffered in 2020, he won the Super Bowl LV against the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2021, the Buccaneers exercised the fifth-year option on Vea’s contract, following that, Vea extended his contract for four years with the Buccaneers in 2022. Vea concluded the 2023 season with six sacks, 43 tackles and two forced fumbles.
Vea joined the University of Washington for collegiate football. At Washington, Vea redshirted through his true freshman season but the following season, he played in all of the 13 games and recorded 17 tackles with a forced fumble. In 2016, Vea was named to the Academic All-Pac-12 Second Team and Second-Team All-Pac-12. During his junior season, Vea received the Morris Trophy and the Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year with that, he was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and Second-Team All-America. Vea played high school football at Milpitas High School where he recorded 296 tackles and 19 sacks.
