Xavier Glenn Worthy is an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season. The Chiefs selected Worthy as the 28th pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. A native of Fresno, California, Worthy attended Central High School. During his junior year in 2019, he recorded 55 receptions for 992 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns, leading Central East to an undefeated 15-0 and its first CIF Division 1-AA State Championship in program's history. However, his senior season and his invitation to the 2021 All-American Bowl were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as per Texas Longhorns' official website.

During the 2024 NFL Combine, Worthy ran the fastest 40-yard dash in Combine's history by recording 4.21 seconds, shattering John Ross' 4.22 seconds record. According to Spotrac, Worthy signed a four-year, $13.79 million rookie contract on June 5, 2024. According to Pro Football Reference, Worthy has appeared in all 17 games with the Chiefs in his rookie season and tallied 59 receptions for 638 receiving yards and six touchdowns at the end of the 2024 NFL regular season.

Xavier Worthy attended the University of Texas at Austin from 2021 to 2023, where he played in 39 games for the Longhorns. His true freshman season saw him appear in 12 games in 2021 during which he recorded 981 receiving yards. His sophomore campaign saw him play 13 games and finish the year with 760 yards (via Sports Reference).

According to Sports Reference, his career-best year came in 2023, when he put up 1,014 receiving yards. He earned Freshman All-American accolades along with Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year honors in 2021. Additionally, he was selected to First-team All-Big 12 twice in 2021 and 2023 respectively, as per Texas Longhorns' official website.
