Kenya's Kipyego wins Delhi Half Marathon

New Delhi, Sep 30 – Edwin Kipyego of Kenya won the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon in elite men’s category here Sunday clocking 1:00.55 hours.

Among the elite women, Yimer Wude of Ethiopia took victory with a timing of 1:11.10 hours in the eight edition of the Delhi Half Marathon.

However, the course records in both categories could not be broken.

Among the Indians, Rahul Kumar Pal finished on top in the men’s category while Olympian Sudha Singh took the honours among the women.

Around 32,000 people participated in the $210,000 event across various categories: Elite men and women half marathon, the Great Delhi Run, wheelchair and senior citizen’s run.
