Djokovic was up against Roger Federer in the U.S Open Semifinals. Federer was the favourite after reaching the finals on six previous occasions.

The match was a thrilling one and went on to five sets. Federer had two match points with Djokovic serving at 15-40, but the Serb kept his nerve and saved them. He went on to break Federer’s serve in the next game to win the match
