Jaxson Reed Hayes is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA as of April 2025. He was born on May 23, 2000, in Norman, Oklahoma, U.S. Before the NBA, Hayes played high school basketball at Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he underwent a remarkable growth spurt, transitioning from six feet as a freshman to a towering 6 feet 11 inches as a senior. Hayes played his college basketball at the University of Texas at Austin and for the Texas Longhorns men's basketball team.
