There was a huge appearance in a dark segment during a commercial break today during Monday Night Raw. SmackDown Live Superstars, John Cena and AJ Styles came out during a commercial break in a surprise appearance.
According to the fans who were at the show, the segment started off with Styles coming out first and making his way to the ring. He talked trash about ‘the face who runs the place’ which led to Cena coming out to confront his current nemesis and SummerSlam opponent. The segment ended with Cena delivering an Attitude Adjustment and a strong message to Styles. Sources are saying that this brief surprise appearance was to fulfil previous obligations made by the two to make an appearance at the broadcast.
Styles has been vocal about his dislike for the 15-time WWE World Champion in recent weeks and their rivalry is only intensifying as SummerSlam comes nearer. Styles called out Cena last week on SmackDown and cut a scathing promo on him saying that parents should not let Cena be their kids’ role models because Cena was a loser. Styles also promised to prove that Cena was a loser after their match at SummerSlam, following which Cena would have to come out and admit to the WWE Universe that Styles was the better man.
