Should CM Punk have one last run in WWE?

Former AEW World Champion CM Punk has had one of the most talked about careers in wrestling. But a Hall of Famer believes the Straight Edge Superstar should have one more run in WWE.

Punk left WWE in 2014 as a six-time World Champion, a two-time Money in the Bank winner, and a man who rejuvenated people's interest in the promotion with his infamous "pipebomb" promo.

But should he have one more run with the company before he hangs up his boots for good? Speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine, Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter believes WWE is where CM Punk belongs.

"WWE is the place where he really belongs because he has that history of being so P.O'd all the time, and he did that--the pipebomb thing and everything. I don't know, I can just, I can see him there I really can." [3:06-3:20]

Punk is on the brink of returning to AEW. The Straight Edge Superstar set to be the main attraction of the company's new show, Collision, which premieres on June 17th.

CM Punk recently visited a WWE RAW event

During his time away from All Elite Wrestling, CM Punk traveled around the wrestling world, visiting several promotions. He was in the crowd for NJPW's Battle in the Valley event in February, cheered on Trinity Fatu during her Impact debut, and even stopped at WWE RAW.

Punk visited the April 24th edition of RAW, which took place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, the same building where the AEW star won the WWE Championship from John Cena in 2011.

Punk reportedly spoke to several people, including both The Miz and Triple H, with whom he has had long-standing rivalries. He wasn't around long, though, as he was reportedly ushered out of the building at the request of Vince McMahon.
