Draymond Green's future with the Golden State Warriors remains uncertain. Green is now playing in the third year of his existing four-year contract with the Warriors. Once the 2022-23 NBA season concludes, the veteran forward can either choose to exercise his player option or enter free agency.

However, there have been rumors about Draymond Green being traded to another team. The speculations stirred up mostly due to Green's altercation with Jordan Poole earlier this season. Given that Golden State awarded Poole with a contract extension over Green, it's clear that the organization is starting to invest in the younger guys.

As the season continues, however, Jordan Poole isn't exactly delivering on what he's being paid to do. Poole agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $123 million. Despite his lackluster performances and his locker room beef, Draymond Green still acts as a leader by defending the Warriors' young core. As a result, the team is still keeping their veteran forward around to guide the young players.

NBC Sports reported that Golden State has no plans on trading Green for now. The organization, however, never said anything about not parting ways with him in the future either. With that in mind, there's still a possibility that basketball fans could witness Green suit up for another team soon. But where would he be a perfect fit?

Here are three teams Greene could possibly join forces with in the near future.

3 potential teams Draymond Green could suit up for

#1 - LA Lakers

For a while now, Draymond Green has been hinting at teaming up with LeBron James in LA. Multiple sources even reported that Green openly admitted that he wants to team up with the "King." If the Lakers wish to pursue acquiring the Warriors veteran, the trade would unfortunately involve Russell Westbrook, who's been doing well with the team this season.

Green's next option would be joining forces with the Purple and Gold next season. That way, he can enjoy the Lakers at full force with Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook on the roster.

#2 - LA Clippers

If Draymond Green truly wishes to play in LA, the Clippers might be his next best option. The Clippers are surprisingly doing well, despite inconsistently having Kawhi Leonard in the lineup. However, the team is currently lacking in the defensive areas of their game. Having Green in the lineup could help boost their defensive rating in the league, turning them into a force to be reckoned with.

#3 - Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks may have fallen short to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals last season. But that doesn't mean that the Mavs are no longer worthy contenders in the West. Looking at Dallas right now, they have the right tools, but they lack experience. The roster doesn't have championship experience aside from JaVale McGee.

If Draymond Green is sent over to the Mavs, having a locker room leader to push Luka Doncic and the rest to strive further could be the key to their success.
