Dillon Brooks fueled the budding rivalry between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors following his remarks on trash-talking Klay Thompson. The Grizzlies won the game 133-119, despite missing superstar Ja Morant, who is currently suspended due to off-court misconduct.

According to Grizzlies beat writer Damichael Cole, Brooks reportedly said, "You suck" to Thompson towards the end of the game.

Meanwhile, the latter gestured that he has four championship wins. Here's a clip of the incident (via Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Reflecting on his trash talk with Thompson, Brooks didn't hold back his thoughts, insinuating that he has impacted the Warriors mentally, saying (via Ball is Life on Twitter):

"He's got 4 rings. That's all he was saying. It's motivation to us. We want a ring as well… It's friendly trash talk, but I just hold a lot of real estate over there in San Francisco."

Dillon Brooks has been at the forefront of this budding rivalry between the two Western Conference powerhouses. He has made headlines previously regarding these kinds of incidents after games. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson hasn't shied away from being a part of these altercations previously, and Saturday was no different.

Klay Thompson hits back at Dillon Brooks

Klay Thompson extended the beef with Dillon Brooks with harsh remarks after the Warriors' away loss to the Grizzlies on Saturday. Thompson ruthlessly mentioned that Brooks wouldn't be remembered by many once the Grizzlies forward retires.

"I don't care about Dillon Brooks," said Thompson (via The Score). When he retires, I don't think anyone will ever talk about Dillon Brooks ever again. I promise you."

The Warriors certainly have Brooks right atop their list of most disliked rivals. Draymond Green recently called him an "idiot." He also insinuated that Brooks isn't the locker room leader on a championship-contending roster like the Grizzlies.

However, Brooks had the last laugh. He dominated the Warriors en route to his team's 133-119 win. The Grizzlies star scored 18 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range.

Brooks also did an excellent job on the defensive end, tiring out his opponents with high intensity. The third-placed Grizzlies improved to 43-27 following the win, while the Warriors dropped to 36-36 and 7-29 on the road. They have now lost 11 consecutive games away from home.

The defending champions are back in the play-in bracket as they are seventh in the West. Memphis also tied their season series 2-2 with the Warriors following Saturday's win.
