LeBron James is stuck with the LA Lakers as they try their best to become contenders without the right pieces in their team. ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins, James' former teammate, proposed Duncan Robinson as a Christmas gift to the forward.

For Perkins, adding another shooter to the Lakers (13-18) could solve a few of their problems. It's quite true, since it's been one of their main concerns since last year, and they didn't solve itover the summer. This time, the former Boston Celtics big man suggested Miami Heat's Duncan Robinson could aide their on-court frustrations.

"I like to give him Duncan Robinson!" Perkins said. "Right now, while he's on the Lakers, he needs shooting. I would like to give him a shooter, a guy that he can rely on, a guy that can open up the lane and be a spacer.
"Even if he don't get the ball, you can use him as a decoy, to run sets, to allow LeBron to go to work. He haven't had a shooter in a long time, and Miami's not using him right now.

"Matter of fact, he's been on the dog house. That's what I would like to give King James."

The end of 2022 is almost near, and the Lakers still haven't made notable moves to fix their roster. They will experience a bit of a rough patch over the next few weeks as Anthony Davis has suffered a foot injury that will cause him to miss at least a month. It'll be all up to James to do most of the work for Los Angeles again.

The proposed addition of Robinson could breathe new life into the team. His shooting will help the Lakers with their floor spacing. For the 6-foot-7 shooter, he'll get a chance to showcase his skills, after being replaced by Max Strus in the Heat's rotation.

LeBron James will always be part of the GOAT discussion. Even if he retires in the NBA, he'll still be defended by his fans. One of his loyal supporters is an NBA champion. Perkins strongly believes that James is getting better as the years go by and will end his career as the best player to ever play the game.

On "NBA Today," Perk shared what makes LeBron the greatest basketball player of all-time.

"When it comes down to Bron and it comes down to him reaching the milestones and breaking records, he's gonna continue to break records. This is why he's the GOAT," Perkins said.
"When it comes down to being the greatest player of all-time, that's LeBron James."

Clearly, breaking records is one of the highlights of James' career, especially now that he's in the twilight years. But there are still some fans and observers who think otherwise.
