Barkley famously named Davis "Street Clothes" during the 2020-21 NBA season. AD isn't the only injury-prone superstar in the league, but the narrative around him seems biased. Earlier this season, when Davis was playing at an MVP-caliber level, critics and fans often brought up his injury issues, overshadowing his efforts on the court.

Before the 2021-22 NBA season began, Reggie Miller expressed concerns for Davis over his injury struggles. AD was coming off a season where he missed half of the Lakers' games and went down with an injury in the playoffs, leading to their exit in the first round against the Phoenix Suns.
