Patrick Beverley and Dillon Brooks are two of the biggest pests in the NBA today, and recently had to face off against one another. After his team walked away with the win, the veteran guard made sure to make his presence felt.

Despite being down at halftime, the Chicago Bulls came alive to come away with a 128-107 win. Beverley did not have the best of nights, finishing with two points on 1-for-5 shooting from the field.

During a recent episode of his podcast, Patrick Beverley cited that he went and spoke to Dillon Brooks after the game. The former LA Lakers guard had a lot to say following their big come-from-behind victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

"Y’all thought you had that one. Y'all mark that one on the board."
"Yeah take that b***h off the board."

In the short time that Beverley did guard Brooks, he managed to shut him down. When he was the primary defender on the Grizzlies forward, he shot 1-for-3 and had only three points. Brooks finished the night with 14 points, four rebounds and four assists in total.

Patrick Beverley is the latest player to go after Dillon Brooks

It is not shocking to see Patrick Beverley go after Dillon Brooks. Both players pride themselves on being "tough guys" for their team, and likely wanted the upper edge in a matchup like this.

Over the course of the season, the Memphis Grizzlies forward has made his fair share of enemies around the league. Brooks' in-your-face defense has also led to some scuffles.

In recent weeks, multiple players have begun clapping back at Brooks. Before Beverley, it was Russell Westbrook who had choice words for him. In a recent win over the Grizzlies, the LA Clippers guard was seen calling Brooks trash.

With the former MVP in his face, Brooks had nothing to say. To make matters worse, Russ was having arguably his best game since joining the Clippers. He ended that night with 36 points and ten assists in a victory for LA.

Brooks prides himself on being someone who can get under his opponent's skin, but now it might be starting to backfire. Players continue to take shots back at him, and we are seeing very little retaliation.

As the postseason gets ready to begin, it will be interesting to see who will be the next player to take a jab at the Grizzlies' enforcer.
