Nick Saban and Jalen Milroe shared a lovely moment on last night's transmission

Nick Saban was the star of ESPN's coverage of the 2024 NFL draft on Thursday night. The former Alabama coach is now a co-host of ESPN's "College GameDay," and as such, he was there with the rest of the cast covering the first night of the draft as teams chose their first-round picks.

A wholesome moment transpired when Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, who was attending the proceedings in Detroit, Michigan, was interviewed by an ABC crew who asked him what he would say to his former coach. Milroe replied:

"Hey, coach! How you doing?"

The transmission then cut to Nick Saban, who couldn't help but burst out laughing at his former player's humor. While it is unknown how much money ESPN put on the table for Saban to join its premier college football show, we can be sure the former coach is doing quite well, with a net worth estimated at $80 million, per CelebrityNetWorth.

Nick Saban's advice to draftees: Continue to develop

At one point during Thursday's broadcast, the other co-hosts of "College GameDay" asked Nick Saban what he would advise the players who were about to be drafted. The seven-time national championship-winning coach reiterated the advice he always gave his players in the past:

"First of all, I think for the players what I always try to tell our players was, don't worry about where you're going to get picked. I know it's your dream to get picked and play in the NFL but what are you going to do with the opportunity once you get it because that's the most important thing how do you continue to develop.
"Everybody has a chance to improve. These guys improved a lot when they were in college, they should be focused on their improvement as a pro."
