Quentin Sampson’s and Alex Algoo ensure victory for Berbice Piranhas and Berbice Caimans in Guyana T10

Berbice Caimans won the toss and chose to bat first, scoring 143-5. Alex Algoo smashed 80 off 27, hitting nine sixes and five fours, to win the Player of the match award.

In response, Demerara kept losing wickets at regular intervals, managing only 119-6, with Rampertab Ramnauth scoring 40 off 15.

In the second game, Essequibo won the toss and elected to field, but the decision backfired, as Quentin Sampson smashed 83 off 23, hitting 11 sixes and three fours, at a strike rate of 360.86. The Jaguars were bowled out for 93 inside 9.4 overs.

In the third game of the day, Demerara Hawks won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 73, with captain Akshaya Persaud scoring 46, while the others failed to complement his efforts. Demerara Pitbulls, in response, ended the game inside 6.4 overs.
