Sachin Tendulkar could miss final home game due to injury

Sachin Tendulkar‘s services might be missed by Mumbai Indians in their last home game against Rajasthan Royals.

Sachin sprained his hand while hitting a six in Mumbai Indian’s victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday and retired hurt after making an unbeaten 38 in 31 balls. He might miss the final game of the regular season.

As they have been assured of a play-offs berth, there is clearly no need for risking him.

“He has a left wrist sprain. It does not look bad. The team management will take a call on his playing tomorrow afternoon,” a team spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Sachin would have played a crucial role in this match for MI as he has shown some good form in last few matches. Sachin has scored 287 runs from the 14 games he played so far this season, with a 54 as his best effort.

Mumbai Indians qualified for the IPL play-offs following Tuesday’s defeat of Royal Challengers Bangalore at home against Kings XI Punjab.
