‘Sir’ Ravindra Jadeja is Joke but a Possible Reality

Ravindra Jadeja seems to be everywhere but for all good reasons and some funny. The year 2013 belongs to our bits and pieces all rounder. Is Jadeja a batting all rounder or bowling all rounder? There seems some confusion with his three triple tons in domestic cricket then immediately followed by superlative bowling performances against Australia in start of his test cricket career this year with 24 wickets in 4 matches. His one day career record also says he is more of bowling all rounder. He has been useful with bat also in shorter formats. It is early days to compare him with genuine all rounders like Kapil Dev or Jacque Kallis. Can we see a realistic future with him? We are yet to find replacement for Kapil Dev in Indian Team. The problem with Jadeja is that he can’t be in Indian team alone on his batting talent or bowling talent right now. He will have to get more variety with his bowling and also be more consistent with bat. He will have toR score hundreds in international cricket also.

There is couple of things working on Ravindra Jadeja’s favour. The age is on his side, he is just twenty five. Right now, he is the best fielder in Indian Team. He is truly world class in his fielding. You can expect him to save ten to fifteen runs in every match and also some brilliant catches and run outs. He is big asset with his fielding. He also has the confidence of his captain M.S.Dhoni. His early success in test cricket with bowling has really surprised me. He is more of containing bowler for me but his success against Michael Clarke proved all critics wrong. Now I expect him to grow from here and become better bowler. In overseas tours, he could be mostly replaced with another batsman but he can again spring a surprise with his batting. Three triple tons in domestic cricket is no fluke. He has great batting potential which has to be now shown in International cricket. We can also expect few wickets from him in overseas. Ravindra Jadeja has come from very humble background. His father was a watchman and his mother expired, when he was twelve. He has come through lot of hardships in his life. A watchman son playing international cricket can be an interesting and also inspiring story for future cricket aspirants.

Now we would like to see him more consistent and win lot of games for India in future. He has to become one of most successful all rounders in world cricket in all forms for India. Of recent, there have lot of jokes about him from his Chennai Super Kings team mates about ‘Sir Ravindra Jadeja’. It has become big hit with cricket loving fans online. Sir Ravindra Jadeja Jokes are becoming big hits in viral. He looks to be new pin up boy for Indian cricket. The great thing is that, he also loves the jokes on him. This is a true spirit of sportsperson. We had another Sir Garifield Sobers, the great West Indian cricketer. I dare not compare Jadeja with Sobers. But can we look of possibility that in future that Sir Ravindra Jadeja is not a joke but a distinct reality on his achievements on cricket field. Ravindra Jadeja has seen his share of controversies early in his career. But he is a smart and hard working cricketer. He knows his strengths well but he is also working hard towards his weak points to become complete cricketer. Today he is not a classy cricketer but he is a very useful cricketer. Tomorrow never dies and what lies in future could be golden fortunes for Indian team.
