Yuvraj Singh receives notice from Central Excise Department

Yuvraj Singh has received a notice from the Central Excise Department, regarding payment of service tax relating to his income from a “promotional activityy” in 2011-12.

The amount Yuvraj needs to pay in total is said to be Rs 46.60 lakh.

The notice, which comes under the ‘Support Services of Business or Commerce’ under section 65 (104c) of the Finance Act, was pasted outside the 32-year-old’s Manimajra house.

Yuvraj had received a rich amount of Rs 4.14 crores from Sahara Adventure Sports for one of their promotional events.

An official from the Central Excise Department said that the cricketer has already paid Rs 36 lakhs and only the remaining Rs 10.6 lakhs has to be paid.
