Indian GP: Sebastian Vettel stays on top in second practice

Sebastian Vettel continued from where he left out in the first practice and topped the time-sheets again for Red-Bull Racing. His teammate Mark Webber was second fastest in the other Red Bull. Overall, both Red Bull cars looked quick on short and long runs, so it would be no surprise if they came up on top at the end of the Indian Grand Prix.

Fernando Alonso led the charge for the rest of the pack and was third fastest in his Scuderia-Ferrari. Over short runs, the Ferrari doesn’t seem to be as quick as the Red Bulls, but on the long runs Ferrari, Red Bull and even McLaren are on par and are very close to each other.

Felipe Massa had a very difficult second practice, as he spun his Ferrari twice which damaged both his hard and soft set of tyres. This meant that the Brazillian had to cut his day short and sacrifice track time. He was fifteenth fastest.

Nico Rosberg showed a upturn in form as he set the fourth fastest time in FP2. Michael Schumacher was 13th fastest as he elected to do much more heavy fuel running.

Kimi Raikkonen was fifth fastest in his Lotus-Renault. His teammate Romain Grosjean was ninth fastest.

Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button were fifth and seventh fastest repectively. On the long runs Hamilton got a message from his team stating that he was the quickest on the track on long runs.

Nico Hulkenberg was eigth fastest in his Force India and seemed to have got over the problems the team encountered during FP1.
