Sebastian Vettel took his sixth win of the season with a stunning drive from pole position. The victory wasn’t as comprehensive as his win at Spa, a fortnight ago, but it was enough for him to extend his lead to 53 points at the top of the standings.

Despite his performance, he was booed by the Tifosi, but Vettel took it as a positive, saying the better he performs, more the boos he gets. Fernando Alonso took second place at Ferrari‘s home ground, having lost time during his first pit stop ahead of Mark Webber.

Lewis Hamilton finished the race in ninth place after a poor grid slot and a subsequent slow rear puncture in the race halted his chances of scoring a good chance. Nevertheless, he put on some fantastic overtakes to take ninth. Kimi Raikkonen had a similar day after running into the back of Sergio Perez on the opening lap of the race. However, unlike the Brit, he was unable to finish the race in the points. We review the race for you in 10 tweets.
