Who will come out on top in the third and final T20I
Who will come out on top in the third and final T20I

After two contrasting T20 Internationals done and dusted, it all comes down to the third and final T20I being held at Seddon Park, Hamilton as India and New Zealand pit their wits for the last time in what has been an entertaining tour.

While New Zealand stormed to the dominating victory over Team India, the tourists bounced back with an assured performance led by their charismatic captain, Rohit Sharma.

While India aims to keep their streak of being undefeated in ten series' intact, New Zealand will be eyeing to exact revenge upon the very team that handed them a 4-1 drubbing in their own backyard.

Squads to choose from

New Zealand:

James Neesham, Colin Munro, Tim Seifert(WK), Kane Williamson (C), Ross Taylor, Daryl Mitchell, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Scott Kuggeleijn, Doug Bracewell, Blair Tickner, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Ish Sodhi

India:

Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, MS Dhoni(WK), Rishabh Pant, Kedhar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Sidharth Kaul and Khaleel Ahmed.

Playing XI Updates

New Zealand:

Lockie Ferguson wasn't named in the squad for the third T20-I and should be replaced by either Doug Bracewell or newcomer Blair Tickner.

Tickner has enjoyed a fine season so far in the ongoing Super Smash but would have to make do with a place on the bench for Bracewell.

Daryl Mitchell was unlucky to be given out in the second T20I and should play this game as well considering his added bowling prowess.

Possible XI: Seifert(WK), Munro, Williamson (C), Mitchell, Taylor, Grandhomme, Santner, Bracewell, Southee, Kuggeleijn and Sodhi.

India:

Team India backed the same team on both occasions which has reaped them dividends at Auckland.

Krunal Pandya was the star with the ball and has truly justified his position in the side. Yuzvendra Chahal went wicketless and could be replaced with Kuldeep Yadav, who would be itching for a go.

Vijay Shankar's role in the team has been that of a batsman and could continue to do so with the all-rounder firmly in the plans for the World Cup 2019.

Possible XI: Rohit(C), Dhawan, Pant, Shankar, Dhoni(WK), Karthik, Hardik, Krunal, Bhuvi, Kuldeep/Chahal and Khaleel.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions

Wicket-keeper: Either of MS Dhoni or Tim Seifert would be good options for this position with both of them being in good form over the last few matches. Seifert was adjudged 'Man of the Match' in the first T20-I and is crucial to the Kiwis at the top.

Batsmen: Former SRH teammates, Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan are great options to go along with the likes of Rishabh Pant and Colin Munro.

Munro hasn't been able to convert his starts to sizeable contributions so far and with the match being a series decider, he could come good for the Kiwis. Rohit Sharma is another option who could prove handy with the bat.

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya have proven their worth with the ball through economical spells in the previous games.

Both of them are must-haves in the side as they can also be promoted up the order to increase the tempo of the match. Daryl Mitchell is another option to go for with his batting prowess evident in the Super Smash.

Bowlers: Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was lethal at the start of the innings while accounting for Colin Munro before he could get away.

More of the same is expected from the experienced pacer while two out of the trio of Southee, Bracewell and Sodhi would suffice to round off a fairly balanced and well-accounted fantasy team.

Captain: Shikhar Dhawan was the leading run-scorer in T20 Internationals last year and has gotten off to good starts in both matches.

The last time Dhawan was involved in a series decider was against Australia where he bludgeoned the likes of Coulter-Nile and Stoinis at the SCG. He should be backed for captain while the likes of Kane Williamson and Colin Munro are also available among other options.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Tim Seifert (WK), Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Kane Williamson, Colin Munro, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Daryl Mitchell, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Ish Sodhi and Tim Southee. Captain: Shikhar Dhawan.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: MS Dhoni(WK), Shikhar Dhawan, Ross Taylor, Colin Munro, Rohit Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Doug Bracewell. Captain: Colin Munro.
