Staying or leaving?

For most of this season, Antonio Conte's future at the club has been the talking point for the media. Now with the season coming to an end and the transfer window set to begin in a few weeks, it's the future of the players that is in the question.

Roman Abramovich is said to be taking hands-on control at the club this summer to make sure that they are back challenging for the title next season. The Chelsea owner is also set to free up space and stack up money by selling a few players as per the report.

Here are 5 players who will leave the club this summer:

#5 David Luiz

David Luiz's time at Chelsea is up. Ther Brazilian fell out of favour with Antonio Conte in November 2017 and has made just a handful of appearances since.

He was tipped to leave the club in the January transfer window but an injury brought an end to that. He is yet to recover completely and even when he does, he isn't expected to make it to the starting XI.

Luiz was linked with Arsenal, Juventus and Real Madrid in January. He is expected to join one of the clubs in the summer.

#4 Gary Cahill

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea - Premier League
Captain. Leader. Gone.

Gary Cahill is the Chelsea club captain but the defender's form has been poor this season. The performances have improved a lot in recent matches but it's difficult to see him at the club next season.

Kurt Zouma is expected to take his place next season with the Englishman moving to another club. Cahill can easily be in the starting XI of a mid-table club but at Chelsea, there is no way he is getting into the team ahead of Christensen.

West Ham United, Crystal Palace or Aston Villa would be a good choice for Cahill to try his hand. He is just not good enough to start for Chelsea anymore.

#3 Cesc Fabregas

Chelsea v Crystal Palace - Premier League
Adios Amigo?

Cesc Fabregas is already into his added time at Chelsea. The Spaniard has got a lot of chances this season but has not managed to impress like before.

Hia contract expires at the end of the 2018/19 season and is bound to be sold this summer. The Blues have already Ross Barkley signed as his successor.

The midfielder is 30-year-old and will be offered a one year deal, even if he is offered one. Fabregas was linked with a move to Serie A last summer with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus said to be interested in him.

#2 Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea v Newcastle United - The Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round
BVB calling?

Michy Batshuayi has had a very interesting year. Last May, he scored the winner at West Bromwich Albion to seal the title for Chelsea.

He was expecting to get the #1 choice this season but The Blues signed Alvaro Morata and the Belgian was back being a benchwarmer. He decided to get a loan move away to boost his chances of making the World Cup squad and he's done well at Borussia Dortmund.

Batshuayi has been in red-hot form for the Bundesliga side and they are keen on keeping him. Chelsea have Morata and Giroud and might opt to sell him.

#1 Danny Drinkwater

Chelsea v Hull City - The Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round
Goodbye already!

Chelsea have two Leicester City midfielders in the last two summers: N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater. While the Frenchman has been the first name on the teamsheet, the Englishman has not managed to consolidate his place in the starting XI.

The midfielder is said to be frustrated at his chances and is keen on leaving the club this summer. West Ham United are leading the race as per reliable reports.

It won't be a surprise if Chelsea sell him this summer to make space for Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Van Ginkel. The two loanees have impressed this season and deserve a chance at Stamford Bridge.
