AFC Cup: East Bengal will get to know its opponent on June 20

The Asian Football Confederation will conduct the draws for the 2013 AFC Champions League and AFC Cup 2013 knockout stages at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 20, 2013. India will be represented in the AFC Cup quarterfinals by Kolkata giants East Bengal, who have been impressive at the continental level in the first half of the season. On can only hope that with a new coach and squad, they can continue their success in September.

The clubs in both competitions who have qualified from Round of 16 will participate in two separate open draws to find out their opponents in the knockout stages. First the draw of the AFC Cup will be carried out with the draw of the AFC Champions League to follow.

The eight clubs who have qualified for the 2013 AFC Cup Quarterfinals are Kuwait SC (Kuwait), Qadsia (Kuwait), Al Faisaly (Jordan), Al Shorta (Syria), New Radiant (Maldives), Semen Padang (Indonesia), Kitchee SC (Hongkong) besides Indian representative East Bengal.

The eight clubs who have qualified for the 2013 AFC Champions League Quarterfinals are Al Ahli (Saudi Arabia), Al Shabab (Saudi Arabia), Guangzhou Evergrande (China), Esteghlal (Iran), Kashiwa Reysol (Japan), FC Seoul (South Korea), Lekhwiya (Qatar) and Buriram United (Thailand).
