Arsene Wenger annoyed with constant Cesc Fabregas questions after Chelsea complete the deal

Arsene Wenger has shown signs of frustration at the constant hounding of him in regards to Cesc Fabregas, with speculation having surrounded Arsenal with a move for their former captain all summer, before opting for a move to local rivals Chelsea.

Fabregas signed for Chelsea on Thursday for a suspected fee of around £30million to end all rumours over his future, with Wenger having decided against using the buy-back option they had inserted into the deal to sell him to Barcelona.

Wenger had decided that he already had enough players that play in Fabregas’ position at the club to no require his services, with compatriot Santi Cazorla and German midfielder Mesut Ozil already providing a strong creative influence in the side.

Wenger has now grown annoyed with the media fascination surrounding him and his former charge and was frosty towards reporters who quizzed him on his opinions regarding Fabregas’ switch to local rivals and fellow Premier League contenders Chelsea, with Oliver Holt and World Football Insider’s Mark Bisson finding themselves on the end of a dismissive response from the Gunner’s boss.
