Jose Mourinho, in a recent press conference, called the current Catalan team the worst in ‘many many years.’ Following the convincing 2-0 win over Manchester City, Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas has retorted to the Portuguese manager’s flawed claim.

Fabregas said, “This team has done so much – won so much. Today was one of those days where everybody was saying “this isn’t the same Barcelona”. Some people were talking a bit too much as usual”

“They will have to shut up for a few days.”

“We are top of the table, in the cup final and in a good moment in the Champions League — you cannot ask for more,’ he added.

“Some people want us to fail and some people have been talking a bit too much. For a few days they will have to shut up.”

The midfielder also said that the Chelsea boss had no business talking about other teams, and should instead, focus on his Champions League tie against Galatasaray.

He said, “He should talk about Chelsea and their tie.”

“I don’t think he should talk about anything else. It is not his business.”

“Maybe we had to prove a point in a way. We did it, and did it very well,” he added.

If the Spanish outfit are able to see off the return fixture at the Nou Camp in three weeks time, the Gerardo Martino managed side will have given a fitting repost to their critics.
