The All India Football Federation(AIFF) have not yet paid East Bengal for winning the Federation Cup that took place in October 2012.
A club official from East Bengal told PTI as follows:
“We are yet to get the prize money for winning the tournament though it’s been many months now.
“We have brought this matter up with the AIFF quite a few times but every time they say they would give it. But the fact is they are yet to give us the prize money.”
East Bengal defeated Goan giants Dempo Sports Club 3-2 to win the title that is prized at Rs. 25 lakhs.
