Berlin, Dec 13 (IANS) Frankfurt have sealed their fifth victory In the Europa League to eliminate APOEL with a 2-0 win to finish atop the standings of Group F.
German side Eintracht Frankfurt had already sealed their place in the last 32, but there was no let up in their quest for a clean slate by winning their third match at home, reports Xinhua.
Third positioned APOEL were eliminated from the tournament.
Stephan Schroeck and Constant Djapka struck in the second half to make sure of the German club’s victory.
The Germans finish on first position of group F followed by Maccabi Tel Aviv, APOEL and Bordeaux.
