Inter sacks Gasperini

Inter Milan have sacked Gian Gasperini after just five games as they start their rebuilding process after a harrowing start to their domestic and European ambitions . Gasperini , a rather shock appointment following the dismissal of Leonardo , has failed to live up to the expectations of the inter board as the blue half of Milan suffered their fourth defeat in five matches last week against lowly and newly promoted side Novara 3-1 .

Inter Milan have endured a rather poor run in domestic and international competition in the short tenure of Gasperini and the first signs of discontent started showing when Trabzonspor stunned Inter in the opening match of their European ambitions at San Siro . And with a shocking defeat to Novara , the writing was on the wall . Gasperini has repeatedly stressed to the media that the board and the Inter players are firmly behind him but Massino Moratti , the Inter President had other plans .

A statement from Inter read: “Inter announces that today’s [Wednesday] training session has been carried out by Daniele Bernazzani and Giuseppe Baresi.

It is rather premature to decide and debate who is going to take charge but it seems Jose Mourinho has the rather uncomfortable trait of unsettling the club with his departure . More to come soon
