Isco to choose Real Madrid, reveals Arsenal leftback Monreal

Will it be Real Madrid or Manuel Pellegrini for Isco?

Arsenal and Spain leftback Nacho Monreal has revealed that Real Madrid and Manchester City target Isco will snub his former boss Manuel Pellegrini and join Real Madrid instead. The Bronze boot winner at the recently concluded UEFA Under-21 European Championship, Isco had said that he would decide on his future club after the tournament.

Nacho Monreal, who was Isco’s team-mate at Malaga, revealed that Isco, 21, has already made the decision.

Monreal told Marca: “Isco has succeeded wherever he has gone. I believe he has already signed for Real Madrid and I’m sure he’ll do very well because he is a great player.”

“He may cost them, but together they will have opportunities and they will seize them.”

Manuel Pellegrini, under whom Isco and Monreal played at Malaga, is set to join Manchester City as their new manager and was hence thought to have the upper hand over Real Madrid for the transfer of Isco.
