Joachim Löw names Germany squad for Paraguay friendly

Germany coach Joachim Löw has named his 21 players squad for the season’s first international friendly against Paraguay in Kaiserslautern on Wednesday (August 14).”I am very pleased that we now have for the first time in five months many players back in the squad, who form the backbone of the team,” said Joachim Loew.

“It is important to start well into a season, which will end for us with the World Cup in Brazil. With the game against Paraguay we want to fine tune for the World Cup qualifiers in September and October.” he added.

The Bayern Munich trio of Mario Götze, Toni Kroos and Bastian Schweinsteiger have been left out for the friendly with Götze recovering from injury while Kroos and Schweinsteiger are rested.
