Reports are emerging that Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata has been offered to Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to le10sport.com.

Mata, 25, has not had the same effect at Chelsea this season as he had in his first two seasons. Since Jose Mourinho has returned to manage the club, Mata has been pushed to the side as the former Madrid, Inter and Porto manager has favoured the likes of Oscar, Andre Schurrle and Willian to the Spaniard.

His future has been the talk of the Premier League throughout the current season and he looks set to leave the west London club despite winning their Player of the Season award for both of the two full seasons he’s been there.

@DeadlineDayLive on Twitter have tweeted that Sport has revealed the news that Chelsea have offered Mata’s services to Barcelona and Madrid.

Mata has started just 11 of Chelsea’s 20 league games this season and has lasted the full 90 minutes during just two of them. The Spaniard is yet to score in the league, either, but has created the second-most chances for the team, with 30.

Paris-Saint Germain were thought to be preparing a bid for Mata but, if the rumours are true, they may miss out on the World Cup winner.
