Rio de Janeiro, Jan 29: Napoli have signed Brazilian defender Henrique from Palmeiras for four million euros, media reports said.
The Italian club agreed to the deal Tuesday after an initial loan proposal was rejected by the Brazilian club, Xinhua quoted Estado de S.Paulo as saying.
Henrique already has experience in Europe, having been signed by Barcelona in 2008.
While he did not make a first team appearance for the Catalan club, the 27-year-old had loan spells at Bayer Leverkuson and Racing Santander before being sold to Palmeiras in 2012.
Henrique has won four Brazil caps after making his international debut in 2008.
