Don Hutchison praised Mohamed Salah

Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison has hailed Mohamed Salah for his brilliant start to the season. He also reckons that the Egyptian's performances and ability to stay fit have gone under the radar.

Salah has been in scintillating form this season, accumulating eight goals and four assists in 11 appearances for the Reds across all competitions. The 31-year-old has helped them get to fourth in the Premier League standings with 20 points from nine games, three points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool have firmly set themselves up to challenge for the title once again and Salah's form will be integral for them to continue winning. The Egypt international has an excellent fitness regime and diet plan off the pitch, which translates to his injury-free record.

Salah has missed just three games due to injury for the Reds over the past six years - an impressive stat to say the least.

On this, Hutchison said (via HITC):

“He is just so devastating in front of goal. His numbers are off the charts. It’s even the small things like the fitness levels. To get yourself in that position, at that point in the game, he is unbelievably fit."

He added:

“I think he has gone under the radar. This season especially if you look at the goal involvements. Every single game, he is picking up goals and assists. He is devastating. The numbers just are phenomenal. Credit Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, and the player, for what they have turned Salah into.”

Mohamed Salah has netted 194 goals and registered 83 assists in 316 appearances across all competitions to date and is the Reds' fifth-highest all-time goalscorer.
