Report: Chelsea agree to sign Radamel Falcao on loan

Radamel Falcao

Sky Sports are reporting that English champions Chelsea have agreed a season-long loan deal for Radamel Falcao from Monaco. The rumour has been doing the rounds for a long time now but Sky reported that the deal has been agreed according to their sources.

The Colombian striker spent last season on loan from Monaco at Manchester United. Having scored 4 goals in 26 appearances for the Red Devils it wasn’t the most productive of phases for both parties involved.

Few were surprised when United boss Louis van Gaal decided against signing the 29-year-old for a longer period.

Several sources reported that Radamel Falcao would be joining Chelsea following the exit of talisman Didier Drogba who announced his departure on the last day of the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho also added fuel to the fire when he spoke about doing whatever he could to rejuvenate Falcao’s career.

While the Colombian may not be first choice at the West London club, such a move would reunite him with a number of familiar faces from Atletico Madrid, including strike partner, Diego Costa.
