Real Madrid will maintain focus on Alphonso Davies in the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid are looking to prioritize the acquisition of Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies ahead of any other deal in the upcoming summer transfer window.

As per reports from Madrid Universal, Los Blancos are unlikely to dive into the transfer market in January. However, manager Carlo Ancelotti has some demands he will put forth in the summer.

Despite injuries to David Alaba and Eder Militao, Real are not interested in signing defenders in the winter window. Instead, they will look to add an attacker, a central defender and possibly a midfielder or two, depending on what Toni Kroos and Luka Modric decide.

However, journalist Jose Felix Diaz has reported that Alphonso Davies remains Real Madrid's top-most priority ahead of the transfer window. The Canadian could prove to be a long-term replacement for Ferland Mendy, whose future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been up in the air in recent times.

Davies has made 176 appearances for Bayern Munich since joining in 2019 and has scored eight goals and provided 28 assists. He has been a crucial component of the Bavarians' teams over the last few seasons and provides rapid defensive cover as well as effective overlapping runs.

Both these aspects are key to the functioning of Real Madrid's game plan and they could make a huge offer to prise Davies away from Bayern.

Reliving Cristiano Ronaldo's stint under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid

Jose Mourinho managed Real Madrid between 2010-13 and was crucial to the club's reinstatement as one of Spain's top teams, toppling Pep Guardiola's Barcelona after multiple attempts.

During his time with Los Blancos, Mourinho won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España. He also managed some of the game's greats, including Cristiano Ronaldo, who thrived during his time as manager.

Ronaldo bagged an impressive 168 goals and 49 assists in just 164 games under Jose Mourinho as his manager. During this time, he also bagged an incredible 19 hat-tricks and established himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in modern football.

Cristiano Ronaldo ended his career in the Spanish capital as Real's all-time top scorer with 450 goals and 131 assists in 438 games. He also won 15 major honors with the club, including four Champions League titles, two La Liga titles and three FIFA Club World Cup titles.

Mourinho, on the other hand, managed Chelsea in the immediate aftermath of his sacking, followed by Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. He is currently the manager of AS Roma, who are eighth in Serie A with 29 points from 19 games.
