Rumour: Atletico Madrid target Manchester United's Antonio Valencia

Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia has been linked with a host of clubs in recent months. Owing to the Ecuadorian’s inconsistent form and minimal overall contribution, United are willing to listen to offers for him.

Reports suggest that Atletico Madrid are set to step up their interest in the winger as they look to bolster their attack in order to mount a full fledged assault on the La Liga this year. Galatasaray are also interested in securing the services of Valencia.

Addition in the attacking third is the priority of manager Diego Simeone who is also interested in another United winger – Luis Nani. However, United’s willingness to let either of the two leave will depend on how David Moyes does in this transfer market, with many wide players reportedly in the clubs radar.
