Chelsea have been boosted in their pursuit of a world class striker, after the agent of Hulk suggested the Brazilian feels it is about time to make a move to the Premier League, according to the Metro.

Jose Mourinho has been quite public about his lack of belief in his current striking options and has made it clear that a top-class forward is the priority for summer transfers.

Hulk has been a target of Chelsea for a few years now and they could have the opportunity to bring him to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season after his agent, Shandor Varga, claimed that he could well push for a move away from Zenit St Petersburg in the summer, with England his preferred destination.

Varga told reporters, “Despite the huge transfer fee required to sign Hulk, don’t rule out that he will move to one of the top clubs in Europe this summer.

“English clubs still have the highest chance of signing him.”

Zenit are believed to have put a price of £40 million on the Brazilian’s head as they prefer to keep the player, but that will not deter Chelsea in their pursuit of the striker, with Diego Costa another option should the Russian side play hardball.

Hulk has scored nine goals in 15 matches for Zenit St Petersburg this season, converting 18% of his shots on goal.
