Giants Juventus are ready to offer a bumper deal as they look to land unsettled Erik Lamela from Tottenham Hotspur this January transfer window. Reports suggest, the Italian outfit will offer £30 million and striker Mirko Vucinic to lure the North London club into selling their player.

The Argentianian moved to White Hart Lane only this summer, in a club record transfer fee from Roma. However, the winger has looked out of sorts since his arrival, and has failed to live up to his massive price tag. Lamela has started only nine Premier League games this season.

The 21-year old is looking for a way out of his misery at Tottenham Hotspur, as confirmed by his father Jose Lamela.

“Erik is not happy and wants to go back to Italy” he told the Italian media.

The midfielder made his name in the Italian Serie A and is still well regarded in the country. The player has been linked with several top Italian clubs like Inter Milan and AC Milan in the past.

However, Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on holding on to their asset. Juventus will now have their work cut out for them if they are to entice the Premier League giants into parting with Erik Lamela.

“Tottenham does not want him to leave in January.” Jose Lamela added.
