According to Sky Sports, the promising Chelsea youngster is all set to join the Bundesliga this January transfer window. German outfit, Wolfsburg have reportedly made a bid, and are now awaiting a response.

The Belgian played a season in the Bundesliga during his loan spell at Werder Bremen where he seems to have taken a liking to the German style of football. The winger played some of his best football last season before returning to London.

The talented midfielder has made only three appearances in the Premier League this season under Jose Mourinho, and seems frustrated with the lack of chances. De Bruyne has not had a sniff, competing for his place with the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle and Juan Mata.

The 22-year old is desperate to seal a switch to Wolfsburg this winter, and it is now up to manager Jose Mourinho and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to grant his wish. The deal could be wrapped up this window, as Chelsea look to fund the transfer of a much needed striker.
