Sergio Ramos calm over speculation linking him with Barcelona and Manchester United

Sergio Ramos has said that he is calm about his future

Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos has said that he is relaxed about his future and that he is no hurry to take any decision. The Spain international is said to be frustrated over the fact that he hasn’t been offered a new deal, despite having two more years on his current contract.

Ramos, who was pivotal to Real’s La Decima triumph with his iconic goal at 92 minutes and 48 seconds that leveled the match, has been linked with moves to both Barcelona and Manchester United. The Los Blancos wouldn’t want to lose their star defender to their arch-rivals.

Barcelona Presidential candidate Jordi Majo has claimed that he was offered Ramos as a target while Manchester United are said to be targeting the Spaniard in a cash-cum-player deal, with Real Madrid getting €30 million and David de Gea in return.

When asked about how he was feeling with all the rumours surrounding him, the former Sevilla man said, "I'm always relaxed."

According to Spanish newspapers AS, the defender and his brother Rene met United in April itself to discuss a move and that Ramos had been taking English classes for the last few months.

There are also reports that suggest that Ramos is seriously considering the Old Trafford club because as he had admitted in an interview in 2013, his family, especially his father, likes Manchester United.

He had said, “My Dad used to watch a lot and he would say to me when I was a kid: ‘Come and watch this. Look at this guy …’ I wouldn’t say he obliged me to watch it but pretty much. He’d say: ‘Today so-and-so is playing; watch him.'” And who did he support? “Manchester United. Divided loyalty, then? “Haha, no! My dad always had a soft spot for Manchester, but my family are Sevilla fans – and now Real Madrid.”

Also, Barcelona Presidential candidates Joan Laporta and Majo were both quick to deny that they were interested in a move for Ramos. Laporta went on to say, "I have had no proposal about Ramos. It is all the fruit of him finishing his contract, and looking to gain advantages."
