Former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf scored a brilliant solo goal at the Etihad stadium to hand Stoke a huge upset against defending champions Manchester City.

The Senegalese forward signed for Manchester United in 2009 but made just 5 appearances for them during his 3 years at the club spending most of the time on loan to his old club Molde and Blackburn Rovers during this period. His only goal for United remains the one he scored on his home debut in the 3-0 win against Burnley.

His move to Bundesliga side Hannover 96 in 2012 proved to be fruitful as he scored 26 goals in 57 appearances for them.

He also has 18 international caps for his country scoring 3 goals in the process.

His goal dropped Manchester City to 4th behind Chelsea, Swansea and Tottenham.
